Wolfhounds Back In Action

After a year with athletics largely on hold due to COVID-19 protocols, our Wolfhounds have started afresh, thanks to the flexibility and creativity of our Physical Education and Athletics Department. Here, Director of Athletics Seamus Brophy gives us some insight on what athletics will look like this spring.

St. Patrick's athletes in Grades 5 to 8 returned to the courts, fields, and trails shortly before Spring Break, as athletics kicked off. This spring will not be a typical sports season, one usually full of lacrosse games and track meets. However, Wolfhounds will be able to compete and stay active this spring with clinics in basketball, soccer, flag football, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, and cross country by maintaining our on-campus protocols when engaging in the clinics, including physical distancing and masking.

“We will continue to promote the ideals of sportsmanship, achievement, integrity, leadership, and team competition,” explained Mr. Brophy.  The hope is to improve the athletic ability and fitness of each student and instill the principles of teamwork and lifelong fitness.  If your Wolfhound has not signed up, please consider joining us this spring.  Please contact Seamus Brophy for more information on the spring program.
