Wolfhound Athletics Program Again Earns Conference Sportsmanship Award

The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) held its annual awards meeting last week, where teams and individuals were honored for their outstanding 2021-2022 athletic achievements. There, for the sixth time in seven years, St. Patrick's was the recipient of the CAC Sportsmanship Award, the highest and most coveted honor awarded to one of the six member-schools. Athletic directors from the CAC, a group of like-configured independent schools in the metropolitan area, vote in a confidential ballot at the end-of-year league meeting for the one school that demonstrates the best examples of sportsmanship during the year. Congratulations to the Wolfhound athletes and coaches on a great year!

The CAC also awarded All Star plaques to athletes who excelled during the varsity soccer and basketball seasons. The recipients from the girls varsity soccer team were Maeve D., Phoebe F., Sisi K., Eden S., and Avery W. The boys varsity soccer team plaques were awarded to Adnan G., Lewis L., and Edward S. In the winter season, girls varsity basketball All Star selections were Maeve D. and Eden S. The boys varsity basketball selections were Justin J., Nelson P., Chris S., and Edward S. Congratulations to all the Wolfhound All Stars and all of the athletes who participated in athletics and made this year such a  success.
