Congratulations to our Girls Grade 6 and Boys Varsity Soccer teams on capturing the Capital Athletic Conference championships! Both teams played with tremendous skill, spirit, and perseverance. The Girls Grade 6 team, lead by PK4 teacher Iesha Myhand and Physical Education teacher Liz Oduro, battled to a 0-0 tie against The Congressional School in regulation time and ultimately prevailed in a thrilling penalty shootout to claim the title. Meanwhile, the Boys Varsity team, lead by Grade 1 teacher Brodie Edgerton and Physical Education teacher Gordon Jones displayed outstanding teamwork and determination, securing their championship with a 2-1 victory over Sheridan.
Led by PK3 teacher Allan Boyarski, Associate Director of Communication and Marketing Julia Hiemstra, and Counseling Intern Victoria Dugan, the St. Patrick's Wolfhounds excelled at the CAC Cross Country Championship races at Congressional School. Lyla T. ’27 placed first in the Girls Junior Varsity race, and Harrison F. ’25 capped off his middle school career with a first-place finish in the Boys Varsity race. Many athletes achieved personal bests, showcasing their dedication and growth throughout the season.
This fall season, all our soccer teams and coaches have worked tirelessly, showing resilience and sportsmanship on and off the field. We are proud of each team member and coach for their commitment and the way they represented St. Patrick’s. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our dedicated Director of Athletics, Seamus Brophy, and Assistant Director of Athletics, Shyrone Palms, for their leadership and support of our coaches and athletes throughout the season.
Go, Wolfhounds!
