St. Patrick’s Wins the Horizons Geography Bee!

St. Patrick’s Wins the Horizons Geography Bee!

On Friday, March 3, Grade 5 and 6 students Christopher A., Charlie F, Brough H., Aran B., Oliver C., Lucy H., Ben G., Teddy Y., and Alexa P. represented St. Patrick’s at the 2nd annual Horizons of Greater Washington Geobee, held at Maret. Our students competed with students from the two other Horizons Partnership Schools: Norwood and Maret.

St. Patrick's faced off in a competition challenging knowledge of geography, cultures, physical features, history, earth science, and Horizons factoids. All St. Patrick’s students in Grades 5 and 6, as well as parents of the contestants, attended to cheer on our team. St. Patrick’s brought home the win!

The Horizons Geobee, an annual event organized by the Horizons Parent Council from each partner school, aims to raise awareness and support for this transformational program. For more information about Horizons, feel free to contact Horizons at St. Patrick’s Site Director Valentina Gabrielli
