St. Patrick's Lower School Celebrates the 100th Day of School!

During each Morning Meeting in the lower grades, children use their emerging math skills to keep track of the number of days they have been in school. Not only are we officially more than halfway through the school year, but reaching this landmark supports students’ understanding of numbers up to (and beyond) 100.

Students in Kindergarten collectively celebrated the 100th day of school with various creative activities all centered around the number 100. In K1, all the kindergarteners created art out of the number 100; in K2, they designed unique 100th-day crowns; and in K3, students timed how many different exercises they could do in 100 seconds and also honored the day by counting out a mix of 100 pieces of snacks such as popcorn, cheerios, gummy bears, goldfish and fruit loops. Kudos to the Day School Kindergarten teachers for designing engaging student activities!
