St. Patrick’s Hosts Community Discussion

In early November, parents,  faculty and staff gathered in person and on Zoom to engage in a community discussion about belonging at St. Patrick’s. The Wells Collective facilitators began by identifying what makes a community safe: having something in common, being responded to positively, and making space for those who might feel on the margins.

Communities of belonging recognize that kindness and events are not enough and that we should recognize that biases exist and intentionally work against them. They ended by helping the group think about how we can empower ourselves and our students by talking about identity, belonging, and activating allyship.
