Highlights from our School-wide Spelling Bee!

It was an exciting Friday morning as all students in Grades 3 to 8 gathered in the Nave for our school-wide Spelling Bee. Ten students from Grades 4-8 came prepared to do their best as they spelled words from the extensive Scripps Spelling Bee list. For over an hour, our participants competed, with our finalists exhausting the list we were provided.

A winner emerged as we were down to the last seven words we had and were considering crowning co-champions. Lillie C. (Grade 8) took top honors, correctly spelling logorrhea. She had been in an epic head-to-head competition with Zoe D. (Grade 7). Taking third place was Curtis B. (Grade 4). These three spellers will advance to the Scripps Cluster Bee, where they will compete to take part in the city-wide bee. Best of luck to Lillie, Zoe, and Curtis!
