Opening the Year with PK Chapel: A Morning of Community and Connection

Last week, we joyfully opened our PK Chapel for the school year—a cherished tradition and an integral part of the PK program at St. Patrick’s. Our Thursday morning Chapel creates a special space where community is nurtured, and the values of love, acceptance, and understanding shared by St. Patrick's Episcopal are upheld. It is our hope that every family feels welcomed, valued, and respected in this time together.

Each Chapel begins with the soft ringing of a chime, gently centering us for moments of listening, reflection, prayer, and song. Beyond this sacred rhythm, Chapel also serves as an open invitation for parents to connect with their child’s classroom and teachers. Before the church bell calls everyone to gather in the PK library, parents are encouraged to stop by their child’s classroom or join them on the playground. These moments allow families to put faces to the names of their child’s friends, glimpse the activities planned for the week, share in a story or activity, or simply enjoy being present together. Parents also have the opportunity to observe how their child interacts with classmates and the environment—an invaluable window into their child's daily school experience.

While families are always welcome to visit at any time, Thursday mornings hold a unique rhythm, offering a regular and meaningful way to be part of the start of your child’s day—much like the morning rituals you share at home.

PK Chapel takes place most Thursdays at 8:45 am, and we warmly invite you to join us whenever you are able.
