On Friday, February 10, we hosted our first Parent and Special Friends Visiting Day in three years. Indeed, Friday, February 14, 2020, was the last parent event we held in the Nursery School before we shut down our on-campus operations, just a short two weeks later, in response to the pandemic. This past experience might be why this year's Parent Visiting Day was so well attended, and the energy was so joyful and exuberant!
The Nursery School children loved having their parents, grandparents, and other close adults in their lives visit them in their classrooms and Chapel. The visiting adults, in turn, were excited to join their students in their classrooms and experience the confidence and ownership of learning the children exhibited during the visit. Parents also took the opportunity to connect with each other in a setting that has not been available for a long time, their children’s school.
We look forward to continuing our Parent and Special Friends Visiting Day tradition and many other parent-child school events this year and for years to come.
