Middle School Welcomes Max Stossel For Social Awakening Presentation

On Tuesday, November 28, we welcome Max Stossel to campus for a series of conversations – with students, teachers, and parents – as he works with students and later presents "Social Media and Your Kids,” to parents and families. The evening presentation, which takes place in the Lower School Common Room on the Whitehaven Campus at 6:00 pm, includes an overview of how students use social media and gives recommendations on improving focus and diminishing distractions in learning environments. This session concludes with time to discuss what is working, and what is not working in our classrooms and households. We are excited to welcome Max to campus as a follow-up to our Writing & Learning Center presentation on student wellbeing in the middle school years.

Max is not only a tech insider but a poet, filmmaker, and artist, and a thought leader on how to realign technology with humanity. Max works with The Center for Human Technology, a group of technology experts committed to exposing the human costs of technological advancement and the people behind the film “The Social Dilemma.”
