Middle School Literature Circles

One of the centerpieces of the St. Patrick’s Middle School experience is Literature Circles. These once-a-week gatherings offer a unique and delightful opportunity for members across the St. Patrick’s community to connect. This book club structure invites adults from all corners of our community to share the joy of reading a great book with a small group of students. Through reading together, bonds of mutual respect and deeper connections between students and adults blossom. This approach not only fosters a richer understanding of our students’ worlds but also brings diverse insights from the adult mentors. The chosen young adult literature serves as a window for students to explore and discuss relevant issues and emotions of their age, all while refining their reading and critical thinking skills. The relationships and understanding fostered by Literature Circles contribute immensely to our school’s sense of community, ensuring every child feels valued and understood.
