Middle School Game Night Returns After Three Year Hiatus

Middle School students were invited to return to campus on November 11 for our first in-person Game Night in three years! Game night is a fun-filled event when students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 come to campus to play a range of games and enjoy each other’s company. The evening included opportunities to play board games, cards, and video games. For those less interested in games, we also had a movie, and we even reserved the music room for anyone who wanted to dance!

We had plenty of delicious snacks, drinks, and pizza to make sure the students had all of the sustenance they needed to play through the evening. Social opportunities are especially important in Middle School, as young adolescents begin to place greater importance on their social connections. Students are seeking out peers to spend time with, and game night allows us to offer a safe, non-academic space in which to do so. While this may be our first game night since 2019, it likely won’t be our last this academic year.
