Congratulations are in order for Grade 3 student Leah-Maria Moawad, who served as Head of School for the day on Friday, January 26. Leah-Maria started her morning with Mrs. Spain Thomas, working the carpool line and enjoying breakfast together. Then, they attended the riveting and highly competitive Grades 4-8 Spelling Bee. After a Whitehaven Campus visit with some of her former teachers, Leah-Maria traveled to the MacArthur Campus for a tour led by Grade 6 student Alina C.
Leah-Maria rejoined her classmates for a delicious chicken tender and macaroni and cheese lunch in the Lunch Room, followed by recess, special subject classes, and a business meeting with Mrs. Spain Thomas at the Head of School’s office. To close the day, Leah-Maria announced the start of carpool over the loudspeaker!
It was a memorable day for all!
