For the first time since 2019, we came together as a community to celebrate the new school year and kick off the 2022-2023 Annual Fund! A tented Sports Deck provided the venue for our 8th Annual Green & White Night, where more than 200 community members gathered to greet friends, old and new. Our Head of School, Jalene Spain Thomas, and this year’s Annual Fund Chairs, Tiffany and Duane King, shared a few words to express their excitement about the year ahead. Our IDEALS Fund-A-Scholar Co-Chairs, Rauzia Ally and Liz Bonner, were also announced, as was this year’s theme: Jazz Age, Do the Wolfhound Shimmy!
Tiffany and Duane introduced our Annual Fund theme: Infinite Value, Infinite Promise and spoke about the importance of our support. We are proud to be a school that truly lives out its mission by recognizing the value of every person in our community and nurturing the promise and potential in all of our students. Together, our Annual Fund gifts support countless initiatives and activities that further our mission and enhance our students’ education. The Annual Fund is the Day School’s number one philanthropic priority. Our goal this year is to raise $1 million to support the school’s operating budget and to achieve 100% current parent participation. We’ve already reached 100% faculty and staff participation for the eighth year in a row!
A special thanks goes out to this year’s Annual Fund and IDEALS Fund-A-Scholar Chairs for their amazing leadership, and thank you to everyone for making Green & White Night 2022 such a beautiful and festive Friday night! We are grateful to be part of such a warm and wonderful community!
