IDEALS: Wine Party Excitement Filled the Air, Holiday Online Auction Up Next!

St. Patrick’s annual Fund-A-Scholar IDEALS Wine Party, hosted by parents Karina Homme and David Zolet, was a huge success, bringing together the community in support of the IDEALS Auction wine/spirits category. The evening was marvelous, filled with happy faces and joyous conversations. Fun was had by all, and many have already commented they are looking forward to next year’s party! Next is the Holiday Online auction, running December 1 through December 5!  Get excited to bid on a creative range of items to enjoy this winter and spring, from Sign-Up Parties (e.g., Trivia Night and Backyard Olympics) to holiday items (e.g., front row seats and parking spots for St. Patrick’s Christmas Pageants). More information is coming soon!

What is Fund-A-Scholar IDEALS?

The Fund-A-Scholar IDEALS Auction, now in its 48th year, is one of the most important annual traditions at St. Patrick’s. All proceeds from the IDEALS Auction go directly to the school’s Financial Aid Program, which currently supports one out of every four children in our student body (over 100 students in total). This year’s theme for the Fund-A-Scholar IDEALS Auction is “Jazz Age: Do The Wolfhound Shimmy.” The Auction will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 6:00 - 11:00 pm in the St. Patrick’s Gymnasium & Performance Center. Everyone is invited to attend the Auction; tickets will go on sale several months before the March 4 event date. 

What is Holiday Online?

If the March 4 Auction is the entrée, think of Holiday Online as the amuse-bouche - a little taste of what’s to come. This year the Holiday Online Auction has been reimagined to offer an exciting range of Sign-Up Parties, front row seats and parking spots for the St. Patrick’s Christmas Pageants, Holiday Choral Concert and other experiences to enjoy this winter and spring. Holiday Online is right around the corner, running online on our OneCause platform from Thursday, December 1 through Monday, December 5.

What are Sign-Up Parties?

Sign-Up Parties are fun, fixed-price, themed events to which you purchase tickets during the Holiday Online Auction. These parties, which are hosted by St. Patrick’s parents or friends of the school, are a great way to meet new people and often to learn a new skill. Some of the Sign-Up Parties you can expect to see during Holiday Online this year include the fan-favorite Backyard Olympics, flower arranging, wine tasting, Trivia Night, charcuterie board arranging - and much more!
