Hunting for Joy: St. Patrick's Ushers in New Spring Tradition

Under bright skies, the Day School’s youngest students recently gathered for a brand-new tradition: the St. Patrick’s Easter Egg Hunt!

Following our annual all-school Easter Chapel, students in PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten made their way to the Primary Grades Playground, crossing the Early Childhood Division bridge with growing anticipation. As they arrived, they were eagerly greeted by members of the Middle School Student Leadership Council (SLC), who had just finished hiding more than 1,000 treat-filled eggs. Middle schoolers handed out colorful basketball, setting the stage for a joyful morning filled with excitement, laughter, and community. Families were warmly invited to join in the festivities, with many arriving early to enjoy refreshments together in the Church Courtyard before the Hunt began.

The highlight of the morning was, of course, the Hunt itself! With baskets in hand, children eagerly searched high and low, delighting in every new discovery. The efforts of the SLC embodied the Day School’s commitment to service and connection across grade levels.

From the quiet anticipation before the first egg was found to the joyful buzz that followed, this inaugural Hunt was a wonderful celebration of community, tradition in the making, and the simple joys of spring.
