On Tuesday, November 22, St. Patrick’s was excited to welcome grandparents and special friends of our Lower School students back to campus. After a three-year hiatus during the pandemic, we hosted our first Grandparents & Special Friends Visiting Day since 2019, with over 200 guests visiting the school.
This is a beloved tradition where grandparents and special friends of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 start their day with remarks from Head of School Jalene Spain Thomas and enjoy musical performances from our students. Guests then proceed to chapel and classroom visits, where they meet their student-host’s homeroom teacher and work on a service project together. Many grades use this opportunity to create a craft to offer at Gifts for Good, our alternative holiday gift fair. The day concludes with a visit to the photo station so guests and their grandchildren or special friends can take a photo together as a cherished memento of this special day!
