On Thursday, January 18, Grades 4 and 5 students traveled to the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School (CESJDS) to participate in At the Table with Dr. King. This show is a multifaceted, live performance that teaches students about the American Civil Rights movement and valuable lessons about equality and respect. Through music, poetry, historical video footage, and Dr. King’s words, At the Table also challenges students to engage in creative service and leadership in their communities. This hour-long show is performed by professionals from More than Music and is co-produced by the Mizel Museum.
We are grateful to our friends at CESJDS for inviting our students to participate in this meaningful program that aligns so closely with the mission of the Day School.
