On Sunday, April 7, the Grades 4 and 5 Sustainability Team set up an endangered species bake sale at the Palisades Bake Sale to support orangutans! The group chose orangutans early in the year and spent the last few months researching how to help them and planning this event. They decided the best action was to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund, which helps protect orangutans from habitat loss and poaching. Grade 4 student Bea M. said the day was “Really cool because we got to practice important life skills and help one of our favorite animals, the orangutan.” The group raised over $600 in a successful morning for our sustainability-focused Wolfhounds!
