Grade 7 Trip to Harpers Ferry and Power Plant
In March, Grade 7 students went on a field trip to the Eagle Creek Renewable Electric hydroelectric power plant in Millville, West Virginia. Thanks to a Grade 7 parent who works with the engineers at the power plant, students enjoyed a tour of the facilities and learned more about renewable energy.
From there, students took a walking tour of Harpers Ferry National Park, where they completed a historical scavenger hunt to learn more about significant events at Harpers Ferry before and after the Civil War.
