On November 8, Grade 6 reintroduced the full grade-level performances that have defined the Grade 6 experience for years. Having moved from musicals to Shakespeare and other ancient stories, these opportunities were suspended during the pandemic. Last year, each music class section put on its own production of a Greek myth, and this year all three sections came together for a single performance!
In a glorious afternoon, all 48 students played a part in bringing to life “A Celebration of Greek Mythology.” With three separate plays retelling the well-known stories of Theseus & the Minotaur, Atalanta, and Echo & Narcissus combined with music that was sung and played by the entire class, our students' acting and musical talents were on full display for their loved ones and teachers.
A special thanks go out to our Middle School Arts department for their support of this production, Grade 6 families for their support of our budding thespians, and, of course, to our Grade 6 students for their tremendous work leading up to and during the fantastic performance.
