Faculty and Staff Engage in Shared Learning Experiences Through Teaching and Learning Center

On Tuesday, September 7, faculty and staff offered nine courses in a variety of areas, including building relationships with students, talking about hair, bookmaking, Design Thinking, and even an offsite community-building paddle-boarding and kayaking meetup! We were delighted with the participation both from faculty and staff who attended classes and those who took the time to prepare and offer classes.

Given the extraordinary learning curve for all members of our community over the past 18 months, the TLC focused last year on joyful Zoom events such as crafting and baking activities. We are excited to have such a successful relaunch of our dynamic TLC this year, focusing on maintaining the enhanced spirit of rapid learning and sharing of new understandings from this past year while allowing for more targeted offerings to enhance instruction and professional growth. The TLC program will expand this year to include an internal newsletter for faculty and staff to share with each other through articles, tips and tricks, and classroom success stories.
