On Monday, November 6, St. Patrick’s hosted a faculty presentation and panel discussion on Positive Discipline. Faculty and staff who were part of the panel included: School Counselors Julianne Reilly and Debbie Weinberger, Grade 4 Teacher Sam Hart, Grade 3 Teacher Shannon Thomas, Grade 1 Teacher Brodie Edgerton, Science Teacher Will Cook, and Director of Constituent Relations & Grade 7 Advisor Chris Bolger.
Attendees were able to participate in a variety of experiential activities in order to better understand the philosophy of Positive Discipline and what their children are participating in in the classroom. They also learned about tools and strategies related to Positive Discipline to experiment with at home. We were thrilled to have many families participate in the workshop, and engage in vibrant discussions around child development and effective approaches to understanding our children and their behavior.
