The annual school Book Fair transformed the Great Hall into a hub of literary excitement, marking the occasion with a family pizza party that had taste buds tingling. Students, teachers, and families joined forces for an adventure through a world of books, with the highlight being the Giving Tree program. This initiative, a cornerstone of the event, resulted in a generous contribution of 313 new books to our school library. Each of the donated books has a bookplate that features the name of the student or family who gave the donation. Students are always delighted to find their names inside our Giving Tree library books.
The donated books included a mix of early readers, picture books, graphic novels, nonfiction and novels. The additions spanned various genres, ensuring that the library can now offer an even wider range of materials for our students. Beyond being an annual tradition, the event has become a celebration of shared learning and the joy of reading.
As the Book Fair wrapped up, the school extended heartfelt thanks to the Book Fair co-chairs, Kit Ballenger and Grace Smith, and the many parent volunteers who made the event possible.
It is a living testament to our community's dedication to nurturing a love for reading and creating an enriching environment where students can explore the magic of literature. The 313 new books are not just additions; they are invitations to countless adventures waiting to be discovered within the pages of a book.
