A Night of Camaraderie and Connection at the Second Annual Family Bingo Night

Family Bingo Night on January 24 was a blast, capturing the heart of our community at the Day School and turning a chilly winter night into a warm, laughter-filled celebration. I extend my sincere thanks to our Parents Association for hosting this and other events throughout the year that bring us together. Whether it's an impromptu gathering or an all-out celebration, Day School connections are intentional, meaningful, and filled with the kind of school spirit that makes me incredibly proud.

Assistant Head of Lower School Sam Mason joined me as a fellow bingo caller, and together, we enjoyed a prime spot, watching the gym floor come alive with excitement. Our view from the stage in the Gymnasium and Performing Arts Center will stay with me for a long time—not just because of the joyful energy, but also the competitive spirit that rivaled any sporting event!

We saw families huddled over their bingo cards with the intensity of championship contenders, as the hum of excited chatter filled the air. The thrill of a family reacting to the elusive "B1" or "N35" was contagious, and it was priceless to see preschoolers and middle schoolers alike fully invested in the rounds. The friendly banter about Sunday's game between the Commanders and Eagles only added to the lively atmosphere. And of course, nothing unites a room like the collective groan when dozens of players are one number away from Bingo—only for the next call to dash their hopes!

Alongside the thrilling bingo rounds, families enjoyed delicious pizza that fueled their competitive spirits and heightened the dinnertime banter.

A huge shoutout to our dedicated volunteers and organizers who made the night possible with their time, effort, and enthusiasm. Their hard work ensured an unforgettable experience for all.
