Gifts for Good: Spreading Holiday Cheer Through Service

Since 2006, members of the Day School have gathered to support Gifts for Good (GFG), our annual, student-led alternative gift fair. Started by parents, Gifts for Good has grown into a school-wide event, celebrating and advocating for various causes, with students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 participating.

Overseen since 2007 by Religion Teacher & Director of Service Learning, Kankunda Klingenberg, and supported by Director of Health Services, Judy Barr, GFG brings charitable and nonprofit organizations to Campus, where students raise money for their selected causes by requesting donations and providing handmade gifts that represent their organizations.

We’d like to especially extend our gratitude to this year’s GFG volunteer co-chairs, Erica Gilligan P. ‘28, ‘31 and Lily Kosegarten P. ‘32, ‘36 for their leadership.

The atmosphere was lively, the activities were engaging, and the food was delicious. Thank you for spending the day exploring all the booths and enjoying the community spirit. We truly appreciate all the hard work that went into making this event such a success.
