St. Patrick’s Grade 5 Students and Administration Lead the MAESA Episcopal Schools Celebration

The Mid-Atlantic Episcopal School Association (MAESA) and host school Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School, were proud to welcome students and families from across our local Episcopal schools to the MAESA Episcopal Schools Celebration and Service on Wednesday, October 4. The theme of the service, designated by NAES and celebrated the same week throughout Episcopal schools nationwide, was "Run the Race with Perseverance" (Hebrews 12:1).

St. Patrick’s Grade 5 students attended and participated in the service held at the Washington National Cathedral. Reagan Mulvihill (5A), Olivia Evans (5B), and Marshall Elliot (5C) carried the St. Patrick’s banner in the Processional, and Cormac Stanner (5B) led the responsorial psalm. Father Ed, Laura Petersen, Betsy Sebring, Kankunda Klingenberg, Jenifer Congdon, along with the Grade 5 team were also in attendance. An additional thanks goes to the many families who came to support our students.

Prior to taking part in the service, students had the opportunity to walk around the Cathedral and briefly see the new “Now and Forever” stained glass windows. We were honored to have our Grade 5 students attend and participate in this very special annual event where schools from across MAESA gather to celebrate what it means for them to share an Episcopal identity.
