10th Annual Green & White Night: Celebrating St. Patrick's and Launching the 2024-2025 Annual Fund

On September 13, the St. Patrick’s community joined together to celebrate the start of a new school year and launch the 2024-2025 Annual Fund. On this special 10th Annual Green & White Night, the Day School welcomed more than 250 community members who spent an exciting and energetic evening in fellowship with friends old and new. Head of School Jalene Spain Thomas and Annual Fund Chair John Barabino spoke about the hope and joy surrounding a new school year, as well as the importance of St. Patrick’s Annual Fund as our school’s philanthropic priority.

We are immensely grateful for the uplifting and inspiring remarks delivered by John, who shared with the community the results of last year’s successful Annual Fund as well as the strong start to this year’s work. Inspired by our Annual Fund theme Infinite Value, Infinite Promise, he spoke about the importance of broad community support for unrestricted gifts to the Day School and the many ways a robust Annual Fund supports each student every day at St. Patrick’s. The Annual Fund’s goal this year is to raise $1 million to support the school’s operating budget and to achieve 100% current parent participation. We have already reached 100% faculty and staff participation for the tenth year in a row! Thank you, John!

Another exciting moment came when Head of School Jalene Spain Thomas announced our IDEALS Fund-A-Scholar Co-Chairs, Elaine del Cerro, and Julia Ghafouri, and shared the theme of this year’s event: An Enchanted Garden! This theme is inspired by the transformative growth our students experience during their time at the Day School, with strong roots and promise for the future. Thank you, Elaine and Julia, for your leadership, creativity, and dedication!

It was wonderful to see so many people attend this festive and fun evening celebrating all things St. Patrick’s. We are grateful for our volunteer leaders who work tirelessly to steward our fundraising and events and create a space for our community to socialize, celebrate, and feel welcomed. Thank you, Wolfhounds!
