CELEBRATING EMANCIPATION DAY IN OUR CHAPELS Next week in our chapels, we will celebrate a holiday unique to Washington, D.C.: Emancipation Day. WONDERFUL NEW HORIZONS FOR THE ANNUAL CAKE RAFFLE! This year, one of St. Patrick's favorite traditions, the Cake Raffle sponsored by our Grade 6 students with the help of families and teachers, looked beyond our immediate community and donated its impressive proceeds of more than $8,000 to Horizons Greater Washington, an organization dedicated to empowering economically disadvantaged students to reach their full potential. St. Patrick's has been one of the sites for this important summer program for the past decade, and Grade 6 is proud to support that work with these funds.

ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE—THANK YOU! Thank you to all in the St. Patrick's community who supported the annual Church Rummage Sale last Saturday by donating items, volunteering to sort and set up, and shopping. We are still doing the final accounting, but it looks like we raised more than $15,000 for outreach programs. Many people helped with this epic sale, but we need to offer a special shout-out to our fantastic Maintenance Team led by Facilities Director Mike Matthews for setting up tables and other technical support and to our enthusiastic Grade 8 volunteers, led by Mrs. Barr, for invaluable help in moving items up from storage. As always, we truly appreciate our faculty and staff support in raising these funds to do some good in the wider world.
