A CHERISHED DAY SCHOOL TRADITION: THE ST. PATRICK'S RECITATION CONTEST
Excitement is building as students in Grades 4 to 8 refine their recitation pieces and compete in preliminary rounds to determine their strongest contestants for the final round of the Recitation Contest on Monday, March 18, at 1:00 pm. ST. PATRICK'S HOSTS MIDDLE SCHOOL CHORAL FESTIVAL
The Grades 7 and 8 Choir will host the ninth annual St. Patrick's Middle School Choral Festival, which brings choirs from the National Cathedral, St. Albans, Georgetown Day, and Holy Trinity schools to our Nave on Tuesday, March 12. What a wonderful opportunity for our singers to hear other groups and share music together!

St. Patrick's Charlie Hawkings '13 and Yale's Redhot & Blue a cappella group arrive on campus next week.

AUCTION 2019 A SOARING SUCCESS – NOW BACK TO EARTH
Thank you to our entire St. Patrick's community for soaring with us—with 350 attendees, more than 1,700 bids, and nearly 100 volunteers, this year's Auction to Benefit the Financial Aid Program was a success, all thanks to your enthusiasm, participation, and creativity. The generosity of the Day School community was on full display as we raised money to support socioeconomic diversity at St. Patrick's, an essential effort that benefits all students.

FUND-A-SCHOLAR INITIATIVE CONTINUES TO DEMONSTRATE STRONG COMMITMENT TO STUDENTS
Our community's generosity of spirit never ceases to amaze us. The paddle-raise during Fund-A-Scholar was a tremendous display of the deep commitment to financial aid at St. Patrick's.   If you were not able to raise your paddle last Saturday, you still have the opportunity to support Fund-A-Scholar! Spanish and Latin American Poetry Celebration TOMORROW—Friday, March 8, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, in the MacArthur Campus Music Room.

GRADES 4 AND 5 YOUNG SINGERS REPRESENT ST. PATRICK'S AT CHORAL FESTIVAL
The Grades 4 and 5 Young Singers represented St. Patrick's at the seventeenth annual National Cathedral Schools Lower Schools Choral Festival on Tuesday, March 5.

LET'S GET IRRATIONAL: STUDENTS ACROSS DIVISIONS WILL CELEBRATE PI DAY ON THURSDAY, MARCH 14
This is the seventh year that students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 will celebrate "Pi Day" on Thursday, March 14, in honor of the ratio pi—the circumference of a circle to its diameter.

SPRING AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS HAVE BEGUN
Some of the Session II After-School Clubs that meet outdoors have begun. Girls on the Run and Tennis with GWU will begin on Monday, March 11. Soccer Training with GWU begins today.
