Observed by people who are Jewish, Hanukkah begins at sundown on Sunday, December 2, and ends in the evening on December 10. REMINDER: HOW TO ADD TEXT MESSAGES TO YOUR EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS
During the week of November 12, St. Patrick's tested its emergency broadcast system. We used this system on November 15, when we had our first snow day of the season. This system, used to notify you of weather-related delays and closings, will also be used for emergencies. After our outreach on the snow day, we realized that many parents have not opted-in to receive text messages.  Please click "Read More" for directions to add text messages to your emergency notifications.

DAY SCHOOL SINGERS JOIN CELEBRATION OF CHAPLAIN JENIFER GAMBER'S ORDINATION AS DEACON
The Light of St. Patrick's shone bright at the Washington National Cathedral last Saturday, November 17, as Day School Chaplain Jenifer Gamber was ordained as a deacon. Following the Prelude, featuring selections by Durufle and Palestrina, the MacArthur Campus Chamber Singers sang, as the Introit, "Woyaya," by Ghanaian drummer Sol Amarifio. The lyrics of the song, "We are going," from the Ga language spoken in and around Accra, reflect life's journey: The road can be hard and messy, but persevering as a community will sustain us.
