EVENING PROGRAMS BRING PARENTS BACK TO SCHOOL
One of the earliest and best opportunities for parents to hear about the academic and other programs that will engage their children this year at St. Patrick's is the series of Back-to-School Night presentations that begin next week. MACARTHUR CAMPUS OFFICE MANAGER & RECEPTIONIST BEGINS HER WORK
As we move into the new school year, we are pleased to introduce St. Patrick's alumna Morgan Telesford '09 as the MacArthur Campus Office Manager & Receptionist.

PROGRESS ON WHITEHAVEN CAMPUS PROJECTS CONTINUES
Construction continues in three Whitehaven Campus locations.

YOM KIPPUR BEGINS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
Yom Kippur, which means Day of Atonement, is a holiday observed in the Jewish tradition that is considered to be the holiest day of the year. On this day, observers reflect on their lives, ask God for forgiveness, and forgive others. Some may fast, so it is customary to say, "May you have an easy fast," before the holiday begins.

HORIZONS GREATER WASHINGTON ENJOYS ITS TENTH SUMMER WITH ST. PATRICK'S
Horizons Greater Washington students again enjoyed a summer full of learning, enrichment, and fun this year, their ninth here at St. Patrick's and the tenth with St. Patrick's as a member of this public-private partnership. Horizons Greater Washington is a summer-based intervention intended to help students from low-income families continue learning at a time when they might otherwise experience a decline in their academic development.

SESSION I AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS UPDATE
After-School Clubs begin next week on Monday, September 17. If your child is registered for clubs, you will receive a confirmation and list of meeting dates from Rhia Hamilton, Director of Auxiliary Programs, later today. If you have not yet registered for clubs, we invite you to do so until Monday, September 24. Kindly note that Session I tennis clinics are now only available on Mondays. After-School Clubs are filling quickly, so please read more to review what limited space is currently available.

WELCOME TO NURSERY SCHOOL!
We are pleased to report that the Nursery School has had a fantastic beginning to the new school year. The strong start promises a wonderful year of growing and learning! The children are, for the most part, hopping out of their cars smiling and eager to see their new friends and teachers.

¡CELEBREMOS!
Are you interested in Spanish language and culture? The Club San Patricio is excited to usher in the 2018-2019 school year with a reception on Saturday, September 15, at 5:00 pm at the MacArthur Campus. It will be a festive celebration with delicious food for the whole family. The Club San Patricio was formed in 2003 to bring together Spanish-speaking families and friends at St. Patrick's interested in preserving and celebrating their language and cultural traditions. If you are interested in celebrating the Hispanic culture, please join us! Just RSVP to Erica Thompson so we can have accurate numbers for the caterer. All are welcome!

CELEBRATE AND LEARN LOCALLY IN WASHINGTON, D.C., DURING HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Saturday, September 15, to Monday, October 15. During this month, we celebrate the culture, traditions, and many contributions that our Spanish-speaking neighbors with roots in Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean have made. FALL SERVICE SCHEDULE FOR ST. PATRICK'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Join us on Sundays at St. Patrick's Church and for our first Service Day on Saturday, September 29—all are welcome!

Family Fun Day is right around the corner! Please take a moment to sign up for one of the many volunteer opportunities that help make this day a success.

GREEN & WHITE NIGHT ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
Don't forget to RSVP to the Paperless Post invitation you received for Green & White Night! Green & White Night is the kickoff adult cocktail party for the new school year — and this year we will be recognizing the continuing leadership of Head of School Peter A. Barrett as well! The event is a fantastic way to meet new people, catch up with friends you haven't seen since June, and see the now year-old MacArthur Campus at 4590 MacArthur Boulevard, NW. Join us on Friday, September 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm wearing green and/or white. Please contact Director of Alumni and Donor Relations Chris Bolger if you have any questions.

AFTER-SCHOOL STUDY HALL BEGINS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
Looking for a quiet place to complete your homework? Would you like help studying for an upcoming test? Need additional time to use the library and/or a computer for research? All children's homework is checked by the end of the Study Hall. Beginning Monday, September 17, Mrs. Klingenberg, Lower School religion teacher, will proctor Study Hall for Grades 1 to 6 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the library. Students are invited to attend on a drop-in basis for $15 per child per day, Monday through Wednesday. On Thursday, study hall participants will join PAC's homework hour. Parents will be billed for each study hall session through the Business Office.
