Financial Aid Program
As part of its mission of equity and inclusion, St. Patrick’s is committed to providing the opportunity for students from various economic circumstances to attend the Day School. All offers of admission are made based on applicants’ qualifications and regardless of financial need. St. Patrick’s offers only need-based financial aid to qualified students. There are no merit awards. Each year, the Board of Trustees designates funds for the Financial Aid Program. This year, about $3 million in aid provides grants for approximately 23% of the student body.
St. Patrick’s offers a wide range of grants each year to families of varying financial circumstances. Our Financial Aid Program has, for many years, assisted families with moderate to significant need. Financial assistance is available, based upon demonstrated need, for tuition, lunch, activity fees, tutoring, and Extended Day. Applications for financial aid are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee.
St. Patrick’s observes the Principles of Good Practice for Member Schools for Financial Aid Administration set forth by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Association of Independent Maryland and D.C. Schools (AIMS), and the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington (AISGW).
