The Nursery Program is a wonderful way for your young child to make a seamless transition into a school environment while enjoying all the fun summer has to offer. Nursery children play and socialize in small groups within our bright, air-conditioned Nursery School rooms under the supervision of an experienced teacher and an assistant.
During each session, art, music, and cooking are planned around a central theme that integrates the week’s activities. Unstructured free time is scheduled throughout the day in the classroom, in our indoor play areas, and on the shady, well-equipped playground. Children meet weekly with our experienced science and music teachers and enjoy P.E. in the Early Childhood Physical Development Center.
Each Nursery group swims three times a week, accompanied in the pool by their teachers. In addition, qualified pool staff are on duty to help each child feel comfortable in the water and learn the basics of swimming.
Session highlights include special guest performers and Water Fun Day. Nursery children may also participate in the Talent Show and in assemblies with the Junior and Senior programs.
Both full- and half-day programs are offered for three-year-olds. Four- and five-year-olds may attend the full-day program only. Based on enrollment, half-day children may be combined with the full-day class for three-year-olds. Nursery children must be three years old and toilet-trained by the opening day of the first session in June.
