PARENTS ASSOCIATION APPROVAL OF NEW BYLAWS

About the Parents Association

The Parents Association fosters a close relationship between parents and the school. All parents are members of the association, and all are asked to pay association dues and to participate in various Parents Association functions throughout the school year. The association, which elects officers each spring for the coming year, is active and provides many volunteer services for the school, as well as activities for the enjoyment of the entire school family. The association also serves as a means of communication between the parents and the school and, to that end, the president of the association sits as a member of the Day School's Board of Trustees.

Parent volunteers are needed throughout the year to serve in the Library and Publishing Center, to organize class parties, and to assist with other school programs. All parents are requested to complete a volunteer form before the start of school and to help in at least two areas throughout the year. An officer of the Parents Association coordinates all volunteer efforts of the school and will be happy to answer any questions about specific events.
