Room Parents

A Room Parent Coffee will take place on Monday, January 12 at 8:15 am.  The meeting is a chance for all Room Parents to offer feedback and make suggestions about the Room Parent program.  The session will be lead by Nancy VanDuyne, Parents Association VP for Room Parents.

Room parents are an essential part of the St. Patrick's community.  They are ambassadors, helping to nurture connections among all parents in the class and fostering participation in a range of activities.  They also are an invaluable support system for the teachers.  Two Room Parent volunteers are assigned to each classroom.

This volunteer opportunity can be handled by parents - either moms or dads - who are full-time in the home or employed full-time outside the home.  Co-Room Parents share the classroom activity coordination and communication responsibilities, dividing the tasks equally. The Room Parent Handbook, outlining Room Parent responsibilities, is here for your reference.
