Grade 8 STUDENTS COMPLETE YEARLONG PROJECTS
Posted March 20, 2017
A year of hard work on the part of Grade 8 students culminated at the Capstone Fair Friday, which took place in the Gymnasium and Performance Center. Students who this fall researched and submitted a seven- to 10-page paper on a topic of interest to them and this winter designed a “product” to illustrate their work made five- to seven-minute presentation to peers, family, and friends about their topics.
Mentors from throughout our community were assigned to the students and will join families and classmates this week to witness the fruition of eight months of work. Congratulations to all Grade 8 students and special thanks to Grade 8 humanities teacher Marlena Elmore, who planned and orchestrated (not to mention graded!) this project.
