St. Patrick's Plus: Beyond the School Day

Please note: Coronavirus pandemic protocols will result in different after-school care closing times. The updated closing time established on a contractual basis will be communicated to families.

The learning, engagement, and friendships continue after dismissal with St. Patrick’s PLUS. Students in Nursery School through Grade 8 can extend their school days until 6:00 pm. Together with classmates grouped by age, these students play, study, and learn.

Additionally, After-School Clubs offer students the opportunity to extend current interests and explore new hobbies from Art to Yoga and from Robotics to Tae Kwon Do.

Under the leadership of Rhia Hamilton, Eby Okonkwo, and a team of expert St. Patrick’s PLUS Instructors, children can participate in a variety of clubs and activities each afternoon. Time with friends, relaxing environments, and encouraging homework helpers make St. Patrick’s PLUS the place to be after 3:00 pm.

Pups Club (N, PK, Kindergarten)
Homework Help

Pups Club (N, PK, Kindergarten)

Children in Nursery through Kindergarten are invited to continue play-based learning at their own pace in a less structured environment in Pups’ Club. Children in Nursery and PK join the club at 2:45 pm in the Nursery Activity Room and children in Kindergarten join the club at 3:15 pm in a Kindergarten classroom. During the afternoons, children enjoy snack, outdoor recess, arts and crafts, and supervised free play. The emphasis is on student-driven activities. Pups’ Club is offered on both a contractual and drop-in basis Monday through Friday until 6:00 pm. On days when school dismisses at noon, Pups Club begins at 11:45 am.

Homework Help

One Hour

We know that there will be times when students need extra support to complete their homework assignments. Homework Help provides an opportunity for students to get a jump start on their assignments in a scholarly and peaceful environment. Children in Grades 1 through 8 are invited to attend Homework Help in the Library on a drop-in basis Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Mrs. Klingenberg and the librarians help children create a homework plan for short and long-term projects and supervise the completion of homework. Should parents have specific homework concerns, please contact Mrs. Klingenberg and the librarians.

Three Hour

We offer Homework Help from dismissal until 6:00 pm for students in Grades 1 through 8. Under the supervision of St. Patrick’s PLUS Instructors, students are arranged by grade in peaceful classroom environments. Depending on their assignments, children work on homework individually, in small groups, and one-on-one with instructors. After homework is completed, children are offered periods of outdoor recess, games, arts and crafts, and indoor play. Homework Help is offered on both a contractual and drop-in basis Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
