Create a new Student Design and Collaboration Lab on the Whitehaven Campus with an adjacent Faculty Design and Collaboration Lab - $200,000:
- Transform the 1,800-square-foot space formerly occupied by the Grade 4 homerooms into side-by-side student and faculty Design and Collaboration Labs.
- Outfit those new spaces with the furnishings, technology, and materials necessary to promote experimentation, exploration, shared problem-solving, and creativity.
The Design and Collaboration Labs will unlock student potential to create, invent, craft, engineer, experiment, and build. The Design Lab will build on the successful Tinker Space funded by the Parents Association and make it available for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5. The Faculty Design and Collaboration Lab encourages dynamic interdisciplinary work in program design across sections and grade levels to spark the imagination of both students and teachers.
