GRADE 6 STUDENTS CONTINUE STUDY OF NON-COGNITIVE SKILLS
A group of Grade 6 students has advanced the study of non-cognitive skills they began during Spanish class this year. Teachers have supported this pursuit during a project period, when the students met to talk, observed Nursery School students, and interviewed adults in the St. Patrick's community about their non-cognitive skills.

ST. PATRICK'S HOSTS SUCCESSFUL FIRST DEBATE TOURNAMENT
On Saturday, May 20, St. Patrick's hosted its first middle school debate tournament, organized by the D.C. Urban Debate League. More than 100 people—students, coaches, families, and judges representing 10 area schools/debate clubs—attended and participated in two debate formats, Public Forum and World School.
